Q. What does HCI Do?

Organizational and individual consulting; training seminars; conference / retreat speaking…

Helps clients (profit and non-profit) with people and organizational issues:

Q. What's DISTINCTIVE about HCI'S services?

1. The Approach. To understand the unique combination of strengths and limitations that each person has, HCI uses the Green Light Concept. This concept portrays how people function by using the three colors of a traffic light.

Based on a Discovery Conversation (personal interview), a person's Greens, Yellows, and Reds are written up comprehensively in a 10-page report called an EFFECTIVENESS PROFILE.

2. The Goal. Our goal is to help people be more effective, productive, and satisfied. This has many by-products to the individuals themselves, the team associates, and the organization.

3. The Method. Fit the job to the person, rather than the person to the job. This avoids putting a square in a round hole.

Q. What is HCI's CONSULTING PHILOSOPHY?

Q. What KINDS OF ORGANIZATIONS USE HCI's services?

Large and small businesses, non-profit organizations, colleges, churches, and para-church and missionary organizations; also, individuals on their own use HCI's services.

Q. What is the BACKGROUND of HCI?

Richard Hagstrom has assisted organizations and individuals since 1976, when he founded HCI. Prior to starting HCI, Mr. Hagstrom majored in Engineering at the University of Connecticut. He spent 13 years doing management consulting with an international research and consulting firm when he specialized in selection, people development, training, and leadership. He assisted major corporations, taught management courses, and supervised consultants.

A published author, conference speaker, and lecturer, Mr. Hagstrom researched and developed the Green Light Concept. HCI operates on the premise that organization strategies and people's strengths need to be integrated to reduce costly turnover, increase individual productivity, and provide a climate for team effectiveness, team building, and personal growth.
