Thank you for sending me the packet containing Christian material. So far I have read The Blood of Jesus and The True Gospel of Christianity Verses The False Gospel of Carnal Christianity. These two booklets have helped me understand why I was not right with God and our Lord Jesus Christ; and clear many doubts.

Before, I didn't call myself a christian not because I was ashamed of Christ our Lord, it was because I was ashamed of my sins and wasn't good enough to consider myself a Christian. Today I consider myself just a piece of clay, hoping and trusting God to mold me, shaping me according to his will.

I was overjoyed when I read of your desire to reprint "True Christianity" by Johann Arndt. I have searched for this for years and have never been able to find it. The closest I came was a one volume abridgement published by Paulist Press, but even that is out of print! Oh please, if you reprint this work, remember me and put me on the list for a copy. I will pay whatever for it!

May I recommend to you the book "Pia Desideria" by Philip Jakob Spener. If you have never read it, it is seriously worth the time. It was written as a introduction to Johann Arndt's and was so powerful a piece (calling for spiritual revival in the Lutheran Church) that it was immediately printed on its own and used of God to launch the Pietist renewel within Lutherism. It is also hard to find in English but worth the effort.

The Lord has used your ministry among myself and my friends. Two years ago I requested you to send me info., mainly a Spurgeon packet. At the time I was struggling with the doctrine of election and total depravity. The sermons I read by Pink and Spurgeon revealed the truth to me as well as God's word. I attend an independent Baptist church which is of the Arminian persuasion. In any case, I now have a better understanding of the Lord's grace and my wicked heart.

After reading the material and studying passages in the scripture, I shared with friends what I learned and it was not well received, as you can imagine. Here's a little booklet that will bless your soul, I hope. It sure has mine. I have read and re-read it a handful of times. I love to go back to it. It points me to Jesus, and I'm always needing to be pointed to Jesus: I'm always going off in the wrong direction, because of the world, my flesh and the enemy.

Don't be put off at first by its seemingly addressing nominal Christians: we're all nominal Christians I'm coming to see, more and more. Keep reading. The first time you read it, don't go back to re-read something that's unclear, just keep going, and you'll run across other coments that are clear. As you read it for the second and third times, if you're like me, you'll understand better his17th-Century English, and you'll be the better for it. It is worth the effort. Big time. The Rock in Honey out of the Rock is Jesus, and the honey is the LIFE we get from intimacy with Jesus. Sometimes I just read a paragraph or a page. Each time you pick it up, ask the Spirit to use the words of Wilcox to draw you to Christ afresh.

These booklets are available through a faith ministry in Florida that distributes them at no charge. Since I ordered 300 (for my supporters, for missionaries raising support, and for each of you), I wanted my account to pay for the, and so they told me the cost was ten cents each. Well, there's certainly no overhead in that ten-cent price! So I took advantage of their ministry and ordered a bunch. You can too, if you find it as helpful as I have: you can distribute them to supporters and other believers. We are always needing to be drawn to Jesus afresh, to be changed into Jesus-kind-of lovers, so that others will be drawn to the overflowing Jesus in us. It's my prayer thqat Jesus transforms each of us into fruitful lovers of the lost.

This is precisely my goal as I disciple missionaries raising their support. We don't need missionaries overseas giving mere intellectual arguments for Christianity: we need missionaries who love like Jesus loved: supernaturally: with the power of God.
