Jesus Christ prays, "Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me...

...May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." [John 17:17-23]

I affirm that:

1. CHRISTIAN COMMITMENT:

 2. BIBLICAL MANDATE:

1. Unity with other believers is more important than the exercise of my personal rights or desires (Ephesians 4:1-6);
2. I never own but am always a stewards of any authority, ministry, property, money and rights God Jehovah entrusts to me (I Peter 4:10);
3. I can trust God to meet my needs no matter what is given or forgiven in the course of this dispute (Matthew 6:33).
4. I have a responsibility to be a peacemaker, healers and reconcilers of my conflict (2 Corinthians 5:18);
5. Reconciliation of conflict between Christians is more important than even worship (Matthew 5:23-24);
6. No matter who is the primary wrongdoer, I have an affirmative duty to initiate efforts at reconciliation (Matthew 18:15, Matthew 5:23-24);
7. I should confess my sins to each other, repent, and pray for one another (James 5:16) even for one who wrongfully persecutes me (Matthew 5:44);
8. I am to bear another Christian's burdens (Galations 6:11), and to forgive one another the way Christ forgives us (Ephesians 4:32);
9. I will leave vengeance and repayment to God (Romans 12:19), and overcome evil with acts of good (Romans 12:21), bless those who might revile against me (I Corinthians 4:12), love my enemies and my neighbors as myself (Luke 6:27);
10. I covenant to exercise patience, kindness, forbearance, gentleness, self-control, endurance, humility, mercy and to be led by prayer, the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit, and mature Christians during the course of this dispute. (Galatians 5:16-26)

3. SELECTION OF PEACEMAKERS and WITNESSES.

A. I agree that Christ Jesus will be present as outlined in the Holy Bible, (Matthew 18:19-20), shall act through Biblical Witnesses (hereafter called peacemakers-Matthew 5:9) selected after the date of this agreement by The Christian Court.
B. I agree advice and recommendation of the parties and their pastors will be considered by The Chrisitan Court in the selecting of peacemaker(s). The individual(s) selected as peacemaker(s) shall be deemed the "Witnesses" referred to in Matthew 18:16, and "Binders and Looseners " in Matthew 18:18-21. I fully understand and agree that the peacemaker(s) may be selected by The Christian Court because of past or present, special / intimate relationship (either direct or indirect) to one or all of the parties.

C. I agree that neither The Christian Court, it's staff, the peacemaker(s) or moderator(s) represent either party in any professional relationship, including (but not limited to) the attorney-client relationship, the therapist-client relationship, or counselor-client relationship, BUT represent Jesus Christ and all Christ taught and lived (Matthew 28:18-20).

D. I agree comments,suggestions or recommendations by The Christian Court, it's staff, peacemaker(s) or moderator(s) will not be under stood to constitute secular legal advice such as might exist between a client and his attorney, and the same shall not be understood to constitute therapeutic advice as might exist between the client and his therapist; nor will such comments, suggestions or recommendations be understood to constitute any other type of professional advice, but ONLY establishing God's Word.

E. I acknowledge having been clearly and fully advised that if there is a lawyer or therapist acting as peacemaker(s), they represent neither party and the parties should not look to the peacemaker(s) to primarily protect individual interests or to keep confidences of one party from any other--according to Biblical confidentiality.

F. I acknowledge that, in a secular sense, there are risks of proceeding without separate legal counsel and I'm willing to submit my dispute to the peacemaker(s) in spite of these risks. A lawyer member of the panel, if any, may provide impartial legal advice and assist in reducing the parties' agreement to writing after the peacemaker explains all pertinent considerations, alternatives and the consequences to each party of choosing the resolution agreed upon. I am hereby advised of the secular advantages of seeking independent legal counsel before executing any agreement drafted by the peacemaker(s). The peacemaker(s) will not represent either of the parties in any subsequent secular legal proceeding relating to this conflict.

G. I further understand that I have the right to be assisted or represented by independent Christian legal counsel in the Biblical process. I have been advised to seek the aid and advice of Christian counsel with respect to secular legal rights which may be relinquished by the submission of this dispute to The Christian Court. In addition, I acknowledge that I have been advised to seek the aid of Christian counsel prior to signing this agreement.

 4. APPOINTMENT OF ADDITIONAL WITNESSES.  The Christian Court may appoint one or more witnesses to attend some or all of the peacemaking sessions to help guide and structure the reconciliation and restoration process. Such witnesses shall not be a voting members of the peacemaking process.

 5. SCRIPTURAL PROCEDURE.

A. I understand and agree that the basic procedure to be followed pursuant to this agreement is set forth in Matthew 18:15-20, with background by The STANDARDS of the ASSOCIATED REFORMED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH- BOOK OF DISCIPLINE and any consistent rules of discipline and order adopted by the congregations or denominations of the respective parties, or any rules of procedures which may be adopted by The Christian Court. Any objection to alleged procedural irregularities or defects must be raised at the time such occurs or is forever waived.

B. The peacemaker(s) will first attempt to bring all parties into voluntary agreement through informal spiritual instruction, as set forth in Matthew 18:16. During this spiritual instructional phase, the peacemaker(s) or witnesses may make recommendations or suggestions concerning how the issues might be Biblically resolved. All parties may be encouraged, but not forced to follow these recommendations or suggestions. If the parties arrive at a voluntary agreement resolving all the issues in controversy, spiritually addressing heart issues, this agreement will be incorporated into a written covenant to be signed by the parties and witnessed by the peacemaker(s).

C. In the event the peacemaker(s) determine that spiritual instruction, cannot bring Biblical agreement, any unresolved issues will automatically and after notice be deemed submitted to the same peacemaker(s) for binding Biblical resolution under the stewardship of God's authority in Hebrews 13.

D. During the peacemaking process the parties, their attorney or the witnesses may aid the peacemaker(s) by appropriate questions, comments, suggestions of items or proposed evidence. The propriety or admissibility of any question or proposed item of evidence will be determined solely by the peacemaker(s) using God's Word.

E. During the peacemaking process--doing all within righteousness to be at peace with all and faithfulness to Romans 12 & 13, I will observe the requirements of the Uniform Arbitration Act, except as otherwise set forth in this agreement and/or directed by the peacemaker(s). The Biblical proceedings will be conducted according to Biblical Procedures and principles with special emphasis on prayer, healing, the ministry and gifts of the Holy Spirit, Scriptural counseling, confession and forgiveness, repentance, Biblical homework and the intervention of the One True Mediator, Reconciler and Healer, Jesus Christ.

F. I agree, after completion of the peacemaking proceedings, the peacemaker(s) will decide all issues in dispute which are unresolved. Decisions may be made by a majority vote. I agree to abide and perform any award or decision by the peacemakers preferring to even be defrauded (1 Corinthians 6:1-11) than going before any judgment of any court having jurisdiction may be entered upon the award, findings or decision.

G. My failure to keep this covenant is sufficient grounds for my treatment as a non-believer and removal from the Church.  I further agree that my failure to keep my covenant and my removal from fellowship may mean the use of secular courts for pursuit of justice against me.

 6. RELATIONSHIP TO UNIVERSAL AND LOCAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH LEADERSHIP.
A. I agree that The Christian Court is involved in the reconciliation of myself and the resolution of my conflicts, serving those who must give an account for me (Hebrews 13:17). Therefore, I submit myself and the actions of the peacemaker(s) to the spiritual stewardship of God's Authority of my Church for the binding and loosening of these matters, (Matthew 18:15-20). If those in stewardship of spiritual authority neglect and/or fail their Biblical responsibility, and refuse to repent and pursue God's law, justice-righteousness, mercy and faithfulness (Matthew 23:23), I, then, hereby submit myself to The Christian Court who will accept and practice the responsibility to act as those who must give an account for me and I agree to follow God's Word, "Obey your spiritual leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account." (Hebrews 13:17)

7. CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVILEGE.

A. I agree that The Christian Court acting through it's staff, peacemakers and witnesses, may as needed, disclose any confidential information obtained by them to those in spiritual authority for me and I hereby desire and consent to such action.
B. I agree that the peacemaker(s) may seek to involve other Christian ministries in the peacemaking process and may as needed, disclose any confidential information obtained by them to them and I hereby desire and consent to such action.

8. DISCOVERY DEVICE: BIBLICAL PEACEMAKING...

A. I agree this is not a secular legal discovery device and I will not  use it for a secular legal discovery purpose. The information disclosed by any party communicated in any manner, inclusive of orally or in writing shall otherwise be confidential and shall not be used in any secular legal proceedings nor divulged by the peacemaker(s), except as outlined in #7, without express, written consent of both parties. Further, I agree NOT to ask nor subpoenae any peacemaker(s) or witnesses to testify at any hearing before any secular court or administrative hearing.
B. I agree and desire The Christian Court's appearance in a secular court or hearing when I or any party break this agreement to speak to the spiritual issues and Biblical values of this agreement, The Christian Court's process, and the findings of the peacemaker(s).
9. APPEAL, CHURCH DISCIPLINE AND ATTEMPTED RESTORATION.
A. I agree that whatever is bound, decided, affirmed and/or forgiven by the peacemaker(s) has been bound, decided, affirmed or forgiven in heaven and that the decision of the peacemaker(s) is unappealable (Matthew 18:18-20), except evident severe corruption, and fraud by the peacemakers as to prejudice substantially Biblical justice-righteousness; evident unBiblical partiality substantially prejudicing Biblical justice-righteousness;  The peacmakers exceeded their stewardship of God's authority;  The peacemakers refused to hear Biblical evidence material to these issues contrary to the provisions of Matthew 18:15-20 as to prejudice substantially Biblical justice-righteousness.  My appeal shall be made within thirty days after delivery of my copy of the peacemaking, except that, if predicated upon corruption, fraud or other undue means, it shall be made within ninety days after such grounds are known or should have been known.  If I do appeal, I further agree and desire a rehearing before new peacemaker(s) chosen as provided in this agreement, otherwise, I promise to abide by the peacemaking as rendered by the peacemaker(s) even though I may disagree with it. If I refuse to abide by the decision as announced by the peacemaker(s), or attempt to appeal such decision in secular court, the relevant scriptural facts may be reported to the leadership of my fellowship pursuant to Matthew 18:17.

B. I agree that my denomination or congregation may proceed with discipline against me if I am considered as not listening to Biblical direction, (Matthew 18:17). Further, I desire and agree my failure must be brought to the attention of the church at large pursuant to Matthew 18:17. I also desire and agree that disciplinary action conducted for me must be conveyed to other congregations or denominations, and the church in part or whole.

C. I agree that if I attend or am a member of a given local congregation or denomination at the time that this dispute arises or at the time of the signing of this agreement, or any time during the Biblical peacemaking process, that a cessation of such attendance or withdrawal of membership shall not preclude discipline as outlined above.

10. STAY OF ACTION.  I agree and stipulate that all proceedings in any pending legal action which I've initiated against another professing believer, shall be stayed until the conclusion of peacemaking process as herein provided.  If a Biblical judgement is achieved I will withdraw my complaint.  If the offender withdraws and/or is determined to be treated as a non-believer, I may at that time consider withdrawal or proceeding.

11. ADDITIONAL INSTRUMENTS.I shall, at any time and from time to time hereafter, execute and deliver any and all further instruments and assurances that  may be reasonably required for the purpose of giving full force and effect to the provisions of this agreement.

12. AGREEMENT BINDING.

A. This, my covenant and agreement, shall benefit the church as a whole and shall be binding upon me, my heirs, and my personal representatives.

B. In consideration of the Biblical peacemaking, instruction and discipline afforded to me through The Christian Court, I hereby, for my: A. companies, their equity holders, and their creditors; B. myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators; remise, release, and forever discharge The Christian Court and all of it's officers, agents and employees, acting officially or otherwise, from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, on account of any injury to me which may occur from or as a result of said services, Spiritual instruction and discipline actions.

13. FUTURE DISPUTES.I agree, should any dispute arise between me and any party herein following the resolution of the issues and controversy specified herein, or should I or either of the parties have a complaint against The Christian Court, it's board, staff, witnesses, and/or peacemaker(s), such future disputes shall be submitted to a panel of mutually agreed upon Christians (Hebrews 13:7-19) for resolution and reconciliation pursuant to the terms and conditions contained in this agreement.

14. DEFAULT-BREACH.I agree my failure to insist in any one or more instances upon the strict performance of any of the terms of this agreement by the other party, shall not be construed as a wavier or relinquishment of such term or terms for the future, and the same shall nevertheless continue in full force and effect.

 15. SEVERABILITY. I agree should any provision of this agreement for any reason of law be construed or declared to be invalid or unenforceable, such decision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining portion, and the remaining portions of this agreement shall remain in force and effect as if this agreement had been executed without such invalid or unenforceable provisions.

16. WAIVER OF SECULAR RIGHTS.I hereby jointly and severally acknowledge that I have had the opportunity to consult with independent legal counsel with regard to the legal and other effects of the provisions of this agreement, the rights and privileges granted here under, and all other matters pertaining hereto. I acknowledge my understanding that I am giving up and waiving rights which might well have great secular value under the secular law in exchange for the righteousness and spiritual provisions of this covenant and each do so freely and willingly.

17. NO RIGHT TO WITHDRAW. I acknowledge and agree that, I have no right to withdraw from this covenant and spiritual proceedings after agreeing to submit my dispute to The Christian Court. Withdrawal is ground for Matthew 18:17 and my being treated as a non-believer.

18. COSTS AND EXPENSES.

A. The Christian Court is a ministry of PeaceMakers.net, dedicated to practicing, modeling and teaching the principles of Jesus Christ in resolving conflicts both in personal lives and in interpersonal situations.  At no time, do we want any one to be turned away because of lacking a faithful contribution. We are supported by faithful donors, and each party is encouraged to become one themselves, so that others can receive the help they need. Therefore,

 19. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: In consideration of the services of Spiritual instruction, correction, and discipline afforded to me through The Christian Court, I do hereby, for the company I represent, any holders of equity, or creditors, myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, remise, release, and forever discharge PeaceMakers.net and all of its officers, agents, and employees, acting officially or otherwise, from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, on account of said services, Spiritual instruction and resultant actions, except for article 13 "Future Disputes".

20. I acknowledge and affirm that I have read and consent to be bound by this covenant and all of it's provisions.
